Learn how to make reindeer food that both Santa's and your own merry helpers will enjoy! Each of these delicious and healthy snacks whips up in 20 minutes or less and requires no cooking, so even the smallest of hands will be able to partake in the fun.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Pitas
You can make these adorable little treats in just a few minutes. Cut a pita into six wedges, and spread the nut or seed butter onto each wedge. Cut a strawberry into small pieces to make a red Rudolph nose. Don't have any strawberries on hand? You can use another berry, a dried cranberry or cherry, or even a dot of jam. Place two chocolate chips for eyes and two pretzels on top for antlers, and your mini reindeer are ready to go!
O, Dippin' Tree
Santa's reindeer will love chomping on crunchy, fresh vegetables made to look like a Christmas tree! Mix together two cups of Greek yogurt with a packet of salad dressing mix in a bowl to make the dip. To create the tree, cut up the head of broccoli into small pieces and arrange it on a platter in the shape of a Christmas tree. Interspace the other vegetables around the broccoli to adorn your tree.
"Let It Snow" Reindeer Energy Bites
Give Santa's reindeer a boost of energy to power them through the night with these tasty treats. The shredded coconut makes them look like they're covered in snow! In a bowl, mix together the nut or seed butter, rolled oats, chia seeds, cacao powder, and honey. Roll the mixture into small balls, about a tablespoon each.
Pour some unsweetened coconut onto a plate, and roll the balls in the coconut, covering each ball. They can be put out for the reindeer as is, or stick them in the fridge to firm them up.
With each of these recipes, you'll learn how to make reindeer food that is delicious for everyone and will create lasting holiday memories. Which tasty treat will you make for Santa's reindeer this year?
